Avocado Cafe Ella

Avocado Café is such a cozy spot with a super friendly owner who makes you feel right at home. The coffee and chickpea salad were amazing. Definitely one of my favorite local places to chill and grab a bite!

The coffee I had at the Avocado Cafe was really good. I also tried the Chocolate Avocado Bowl, and it was a nice treat. Creamy, not too sweet, with a great mix of textures. It felt like a healthy option but still very satisfying. Overall, a cozy spot with good vibes, very nice staff and tasty food. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby.

Was recommended Avocado Café for the food and its famous avocado coffee and it didn't disappoint! I had the shakshouka with Arabic bread and a cappuccino which was delicious and full of flavour. A nice hearty and filling meal. The cafe itself has a proper high quality coffee machine and trained staff who are able to produce great coffee too! Do yourself a favour and try their famous avocado coffee aswell for something unique and different! It's happiness in a glass! 10/10!

The avocado café is one of the cutest spots in Ella.They have the best coffee I've had in Sri Lanka in general and the food tasted absolutely delicious. Unfortunately I only took a picture of the avocado toast but we tried some of the other dishes as well and literally everything was amazing. The owner is truly a lovely human being with a lot of knowledge of the area, so if you need recommendations don't hesitate to ask. He also offers sunrise tours up to Ella Rock and we received a lot of very interesting insights. We would highly recommend stopping when you're there.

We had one cappuccino, iced latte and one shakschuka and it was the best I’ve ever eaten. Everything was so delicious and really good. We enjoyed it here!!

Avocado Hostel – the perfect place to stay in Ella! Great location – the hostel is close to the town center, yet still peaceful and quiet. You can easily walk to major attractions like the Nine Arches Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak. The rooms and common areas are very clean and well maintained, and the whole place has a cozy, friendly vibe. Whether you’re traveling solo or with friends, you’ll feel comfortable here. The owner is super engaged and welcoming, often organizing activities, tours, or chill evenings for guests – it’s a great way to meet other travelers and enjoy a sense of community. They also serve delicious food and really good coffee – which makes it even better! Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ella. A perfect mix of comfort, connection, and local atmosphere.

A must-visit spot in Ella if you love coffee and avocados! Their Avocado Coffee is unique, creamy, and absolutely worth trying – I’ve never had anything like it before. The Cappuccino is also excellent, smooth and well-balanced. On the food side, don’t miss the Avocado (Guacamole) Hoppers – a clever twist on the traditional Sri Lankan hopper with a Mexican-style touch. Fresh, tasty, and filling! The café has a cozy vibe, friendly staff, and great value for money. Highly recommend this place whether you’re a coffee enthusiast or just looking to try something new in Ella.

Best coffee I’ve had in Sri Lanka in 3 weeks. Nice groove music. Friendly service. Didn’t try food but another tables Shakshuka looked and smelled amazing. Just be aware there is a 10% service charge, just found that out.
